About Me
I am a radiation/medical physics researcher at The University of Osaka (R&D Office, Library; Core Facility Center; School of Engineering). My work focuses on gamma-ray spectroscopy and real-time dosimetry for therapy environments, especially BNCT, together with research data management and open-science infrastructure.
My journey: Greece → B.Eng.-equivalent studies in Applied Mathematical & Physical Sciences (laser-induced DNA damage thesis) → UK Master by Research in Cancer Biology & Therapy → Japan as a MEXT Embassy scholar → Ph.D. in Engineering (Jan 2025, The University of Osaka). I currently lead development of a novel gamma spectrum & dose monitor (CsI(Tl)+MPPC, Bayesian unfolding) and collaborate on BNCT drug distribution studies (BPA, LC-MS/MS) and Compton imaging.
